Ep. 7: Interview with blogger Anushree Chatterjee

Updated: Jul 28, 2019

Welcome to C.H.O.R. people!

This blog space is dedicated to interviews & stories of creative people from all walks of life!

Our seventh episode is with “Anushree Chatterjee”, a blogger at GHP Mumbai & an ex-journalist for HT Cafe, Mid-Day Mumbai, Architect & Interiors India, Hotelier India, etc. She lives in Mumbai & has been blogging for the last 2 years.

She draws her inspiration from a lot of big people but most importantly from her son!

So, Let’s start!

How would you describe yourself & your love for blogging? (Our audience is very supportive of you but they keep very very busy so tell in only 140 characters)

Blogging boosts my appetite for creativity. Writing was always a passion. It’s second to my sensitive, perceptive and expressive self.

So, are you an accidental blogger or was there some planning to it?

Both. I was looking to do something different and blogging came to me after some research and digging.

“Everything isn’t an achievement” but also “Achievement ain’t everything”. Can you tell us 3 of your biggest & most satisfying achievements?

Launching & sustaining India’s first hyper-local blogs. Discovering & reporting about value-based, relevant stories engaging with people who create impact rather than impressions.

“Every small or big brand today needs a blog”. Do you agree? If yes & no both, then reveal today your secret style of a successful blog?

Totally agree! The secret is to have, maintain and showcase your individual style. Be original, be you. Imitating a writing style will create a block you won’t circumvent.

You run a successful blog called “Goregaon Highway Pulse” & also take writing workshops! So, do you just give humble autographs or have you had any real interesting incidences with your fans?

I have no fans. GHP has fans: brands who benefit via this platform, people who are in awe of info GHP provides, lesser privileged who GHP has helped in many ways, regularly.

“Mediocre work isn’t worship”. As a person who innovates & loves what she does, how would you explain this statement to the society?

Rat races make you a rat who wants out of the races. Creativity and innovation is your only hope for success. You will enjoy this success only when you deeply love and value your hard work. GHP does different things and does them differently. That’s a daily challenge but always worth it.

“Many bloggers struggle to market their creative pieces & earn money”. Do you think you have a defined formula to help others target their audience better?

Any writer has to get under the skin of the matter to reveal the pearl. I believe in writing to bring out the beauty and efficacy of the brand or person I’m profiling. That’s what has made them truly happy and cherish GHP’s showcase of their skills.

Our audience loves texting! Do you have any message for them?

Use your skills for your good and for the greater common good. Use it to change what you want to really change, for yourself and others.

Not trying to self-promote, or maybe I am, but then what are your thoughts on our platform Rhymly? You can use more than 140 characters this time :p

It’s a fantastic innovation for creative minds. High time we established a platform for indigenous talent, for our languages and their intrinsic expression. Great job, team Rhymly!

Finally, Our audience is insomniac & has no option but to read something to sleep! So, can you share a link to your latest blog?

So, that’s it for today! Anushree would definitely love a constructive feedback on her work from you guys!

We will also be back in a few days with Ep.8 with another creative person.
